According to the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, Hacettepe University ranked in the 201–300 band among 2,318 higher education institutions worldwide, positioning itself among the leading universities globally with its efforts aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Hacettepe University particularly stands out in the following SDGs:

• SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being: Ranked 101–200 globally, 2nd in Türkiye,
• SDG 4 – Quality Education: Ranked 60 globally, 8th in Türkiye,
• SDG 5 – Gender Equality: Ranked 93 globally, 3rd in Türkiye,
• SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure: Ranked 101–200 globally, 8th in Türkiye (sharing the same position with five universities).
